The list provides, where available, links to the article for the convenience of the user; however, it does not provide the papers themselves. Access to papers held under copyright will often require a subscription to the journal/database in question, which is the responsibility of the user. Whilst every attempt has been made to make the information below accurate, it is down to the user to ensure it is correct and to make it suitable for his needs, including format.
The search feature uses “implied Boolean logic”, in which:
The + sign means the following word must be present in the result. The – sign means the following word must not be present in the result. No operator/prefix means it can be present, but need not be present (if more than one search word is used). However, matching publications containing the optional term should be higher in the list than those that do not.
Exact phrases (e.g., surface wave, transformation optics, ferrite composite) can be found easily using the “string” format. If there are a few variations of a term, use the wildcard character * (e.g., ‘metamat*’ to match ‘metamaterial’ and ‘metamaterials’).
Results are sorted according to the rank (how well the publication matches the search terms), then year (descending), then the surname of the first author (descending) and finally by title (descending).
Punctuation in the search text will be ignored or treated as a space, which includes hyphens; this may help explain odd results if using the NOT operator – and spaces are included.
For author searches, use the format “Surname Initial”, including quotation marks (e.g., "Smith J"), to achieve the best results.
